I am Iliya Georgiev, a Full-stack web developer based in Amsterdam with more than seven years in the industry. This experience gave me the opportunity to be a part of some challenging projects and helped me grow in the professional and personal aspects. I believe that a great developer cultivates a wide range of skills. These include creativity, aesthetics, and an eye for user experience, but most importantly, the ability to share your knowledge with the rest of the world. Moreover, I am a proactive human being who loves to explore the world in his ways. I am eager to learn new things and solve different challenges.

As a Lead Developer, I oversee most of the projects in the company. This position comes with a handful of responsibilities. While handling the management side of the job -discussion with clients, separation of tasks, and scheduling, I also need to work on the production and help the rest of the team. Daily, to perform my tasks, I need to use a critical way of thinking to solve the problems that my team and I encounter. We are currently working on custom web solutions, such as single-page applications - SPA, building APIs, and data integrations.

At WeConnect, I started as a Junior developer, but I quickly earned the trust of my manager and got promoted to Medior developer. I had the opportunity to be a project manager of a lot of challenging projects. Some of them includes building Warden - custom time tracking software, Verkeer & Meer, Municaplity of Sudwest-Fryslan and became part of the OpenWebConcept (OWC) project - a common project between municipalities in the Netherlands.
